Building Bridges Through Top Horsesport & New Dialog
Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, president of Qatar Equestrian Federation from Doha and Christine Stibi, owner of Office for German – Qatar – UAE Relations in Wiesbaden, both share the same visions: “The aim of our 1st German – Qatar Friendship Project is on one side to further development equestrian sport and support juniors and professional riders from Qatar on their exiting way to great international heights. On the other side to increase with this unique concept new direct dialog and to inspire for more cultural understanding, more economic - strategic partnerships and most importantly more friendships between nations and cultures. That’s what we want parallel to our sport.
We believe Friendship is a high value and a responsibility from all of us involved.
With the 78th International Horse Festival “ Wiesbadener Pfingstturnier” which counts as one of the best equestrian events worldwide and the unique location in the historic castle park, surrounded from annual 60.000 delighted spectators we couldn´t wish for a better venue and start of our new project.”

QEF was established in 1979 and is working under the umbrella of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC). The Federation of the emirate of Qatar is devoted to provide the best horses, trainers and experts to ensure the development of generations to hone their talents and skills - thanks to HH the Emir of Qatar HH Sheik Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, whose generous contributions prevail over all sport activities in Qatar and in particular equestrian, the sport of their fathers and ancestors. QEF President is Mr. Hamad Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, since 2011. Thanks to the foresight of QEF Board of Directors , the Equestrian Federation usually organizes and delivers national and prestigious international competitions and helped the riders in achieving an important step towards global levels, where female and male riders compete on equal footing at highest levels of sports man ship . QEF also works to provide a secure environment for the education of riders. The Federation is responsible for three disciplines in the state of Qatar namely: show jumping, dressage and eventing.
The world today looks to Qatar as an emerging nation in the equestrian world. What began as love and deep passion towards horses and equestrian sport has now inaugurated and confirmed Qatar and QEF as genuine power houses to provide generations of skilled and talented riders in a spirit of fair play. Declared aim of Qatar Equestrian Federation committee members, secretary general Khalid bin Safar Al Hajri and chairman Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah are the Olympics.

Christine Stibi, a passionate horse lover has been closely associated with the GCC show jumping community for more than 19 years. Being an innovative summer rider camp organizer and international horse show co – manager as a resident in Abu Dhabi and Ajman, she has enjoyed extensive “multi-tasking” and a pioneering life over a decade. The committed GCC lover, felt in love with Qatar end of the nineties too, since the time when the state of Qatar was far from the huge media awareness it enjoys presently. In 2004 with little warning the course of her life changed direction overnight, when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Returning back to Germany to stay close to her family she soon began to miss her second home. But also came to realize the lack of information between both cultures, the lack of direct dialog to reduce miss understandings and miss conceptions and the lack of direct connecting opportunities between both parts of the world. As a result she founded a specialized bridge builder office 2005 in Wiesbaden, just 15 minutes from Frankfurt airport, to connect Germany / Europe with UAE/ Qatar. Up today she does not limit her individual service for her clients and friends such as: strategic CEO´s advisory services, communication, development of new concepts, arranging Get –together and B2D business trips with incentives parallel sport events, including full project directory and realization. To identify matchmaking partners , to create , further develop and fine tune with executives but most importantly to care, as head of missions, which she calls “Opportunity Driven Occasions” (O.D.O.´s) is her deepest passion. Previous B2D functions during Monaco, Frankfurt & Dortmund horse shows , the ongoing “Cooking is cool” BE HEALTHY! BE FIT! Kids – to Kids campaign, together with her son Valentin and such as the unique “German Qatar Friendship Wiesbaden 2014” are examples for innovation and creativity. An expert for International Relations with new, concrete ideas to promote cultural understanding, adding new values in cooperations or guiding new missions.
